London Derby Set To Be Cagey
Chelsea VS Tottenham – Under Jose Mourinho, Tottenham have clawed their way back into the top four conversation and face a true six-pointer against Chelsea, who are just one point ahead after losing at home to Manchester United this past weekend. But that was before Son Heung-Min broke his arm against Aston Villa.
But Mourinho has been left delighted with the recent performances of his team, who have collected 10 points from their most recent four matches in the Premier League.
Nevertheless, Chelsea also have problems – N’Golo Kante is out and Tammy Abraham is a doubt with an ankle injury.
Despite a run of one win from their last six, Chelsea still sit fourth in the Premier League, but are now just one point above Tottenham in the table.
In fact, one of their three league wins in their last 11 outings have come against Spurs. Three successive league victories has seen Tottenham rise up the Premier League table, however with such a quick turnaround between matches, the north London side will be fatigued for this London derby.
Spurs have won just three away league matches this season, which is hardly inspiring for this clash at Stamford Bridge.
