Everton vs Man Utd: Lineups
Expect a Fairly Physical Game
Although Solskjaer has plenty of options with regards to his formation, the Norwegian has made a habit of using a back three against the better teams on away soil. With that in mind, Mason Greenwood and Odion Ighalo may be used as a front two at Goodison Park as Anthony Martial struggles to shake off a thigh problem.
Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba remain long-term absentees, while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said he wants Axel Tuanzebe and Timothy Fosu-Mensah to get minutes under their belt before returning to first-team action.
Everton have a few players on the injury list coming into this weekend’s game. He will be joined on the sidelines by Theo Walcott, who sits out with a knee injury. Lucas Digne missed the Arsenal defeat with a muscle strain, and is a doubt to start this game.
Andre Gomes made his eagerly-awaited return from a dislocated ankle off the bench and Ancelotti will be strongly tempted to start him here.
Despite United’s historical advantage, Everton have fared better in recent games, avoiding defeat in both of the matches which were played in 2019.
