Match Set To Be Another Tight Affair
Juventus play host to Inter Milan in Serie A on Sunday evening holding a six-point advantage over their title rivals in the standings.
The two rivals are sitting on 2nd and 3rd places in the standings respectively, with Juve holding a six point lead over the Nerazzurri who have played a game less compared to the Bianconerri.
With the pressure on Juventus, their players will need to step up. Not only do they have to edge a titanic battle in the title race, but this comes draws after a surprise loss and biting criticism from their manager.
Maurizio Sarri didn’t hold back after their 1-0 loss at Lyon in their last game, which was only the second time in 36 games under Sarri in which Juve didn’t score.
Inter have won only one Serie A away game at Juventus in their current stadium (3-1 in November 2012) – since then, Juventus have won four and earned two draws in their last six such meetings.
The hosts have also lost only one of their last 14 Serie A matches against Inter – 1-2 in September 2016. However, Maurizio Sarri won this season’s reverse fixture against Inter – in the last 40 Serie A campaigns, only one manager has won both of his first two league games for Juventus against the Nerazzurri (Antonio Conte).
