LMessi kept his nerve from the penalty spot to give Barcelona a 1-0 win over Real Sociedad in La Liga and return his side to the top of the table.
With 15 minutes to go, Isak was through on goal for La Real, but the Swede snatched at the chance and put it wide, as did Nacho Monreal two minutes later.
However, after the latter chance, play was brought back by VAR for a handball in the opposite penalty area, Messi’s subsequent spot-kick handing the advantage to Barca.
The victory took Barcelona back to the top of La Liga on 58 points after 27 games.
