Bayern Munich recover from early setback to move 10 clear at top of Bundesliga and to within six points of title.
Leverkusen broke the deadlock inside the opening 10 minutes, thanks to Lucas Alario’s slick finish. Bayern needed to crank up the gears, which paid off when Kingsley Coman drew them level before the half hour mark.
Leon Goretzka played it through to the Frenchman, who coolly curled it into the far corner to draw the runaway leaders level in Leverkusen. Then Serge Gnabry converted his 19th goal of the season by latching onto a long ball over the top to lob a smart finish over the advancing goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky.
Robert Lewandowski’s 30th Bundesliga goal of the season put Bayern out of sight midway through the second half and, with the exception of Florian Wirtz’s late consolation.
