Paris Saint-Germain travelled to England evening to take on Manchester City in the Champions League, only to be beaten 2-1. The result means that City go into the final matchday of the group phase top of Group A, four points clear of second-placed PSG. Although both have qualified for the last 16 of the competition due to Leipzig’s 5-0 victory over Club Brugge.

City dominated the first half, enjoying the better of the chances. It was PSG, however, who struck first blood at the beginning of the second half.

Lionel Messi picked up the ball from deep, enjoying fine interplay with Neymar before threading a deflected ball through to Kylian Mbappe, who finished with precision.

City hit back twice in the final half-hour, however, to secure a comeback victory. Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus scored.
