Previously we talked about the multiplayer mode, today we will focus on the campaign mode of Halo Infinite. When all hope is lost and humanity’s survival is in jeopardy, the Master Chief is prepared to face the most merciless foe he’s ever encountered.
In Halo Infinite, there are 15 main missions in all, with lots of side missions to complete in between. Firstly, there are 4 difficulty levels to choose from:
- Easy – For those who are new to Halo and FPS (First-Person Shooter) games, this is a good place to start.
- Normal – Experience with first-person shooters is recommended, and enemies can be quite brutal.
- Heroic – Veteran Halo players should pick this up, where your character has to be well-armed and determined
- Legendary – This is the highest and most difficult setting of Campaign gameplay in every Halo game to date. All we can say is, Good luck!
Here are our top 5 tips for campaign players
Make full use of the grapple function
The addition of a grappling hook is one of the most game-changing innovations in Halo Infinite. Honestly, this grappling hook is possibly the game’s most significant ability. Though early-stage missions may not require you to use this, trust me, but as the missions progress, this would help you so much in battling enemies.
The Grappleshot is incredibly capable of latching onto any surface when moving from place to place. Enemies can be grappled in combat to provide lightning-fast melee opportunities. You can even grab vehicles to take control of them swiftly.
Explore the open world
There are over a dozen main campaign missions to dig into in Halo Infinite but with the first leap into an open-world setting, there’s a lot more to do. However, the open-world activities are optional.
To get weapons as rewards, you can free groups of distressed marines and kill bosses, but all it actually does is improve your Valor score. Valor allows you to obtain different vehicles at your bases, although this isn’t required to enjoy the sandbox that awaits you.
Search for Collectibles, FOBs, and Banished Outposts in the open world
Banished Outposts – These are bases that you can approach. You can take over these, each with its own objectives, and cripple the Banished forces. Forward Operating Bases (FOBs) – These UNSC outposts serve as map-revealing objectives, revealing crucial places. Mjolnir Lockers – These unlock a range of skins that can be used in multiplayer.
There are lots of collectibles to be found in the open world, and these will emerge when you’re close enough to scan them.
Efficiently search for collectibles
You can spend a lot of time looking for treasures in the overworld, but if you want to get the most bang for your buck, complete all of the Valor-gaining missions, such as Banished Outposts, FOB Outposts, and UNSC soldiers under attack, and work your way up to being able to call a Wasp.
Unlock Halo Infinite Skulls
There are twelve Skulls that can be found across the map and in certain levels. Here are the 12 different types of skulls you can unlock. Boom Skull, Cowbell, Mythic, Grunt Birthday Party, Thunderstorm, Fog, Blind, IWHBYD, Famine, Blackeye and Catch.
I feel that the campaign mode appeals more to players who enjoy a storyline and challenge themselves. Try it out if you’re itching to play a new game!
