Salah signing new Liverpool deal

Salah is prepared to compromise on his initial demands of £500,000-a-week wage packet. According to a report, an extra 12 months on the three-year deal has been discussed which would see Salah remain at Anfield until 2026, when he turns 34. Ending the Salah saga would represent a big boost to Liverpool in the run in to win the quadruple. Salah has been on scintillating form this season scorign 28 goals in all competitions. He is widely regarded as the best football player in the world and tying him for another four years to Liverpool would be a massive coup for Jurgen Klopp’s team.

Almiron is free to leave Newcastle this summer

The Paraguayan attacking midfielder has fallen down the pecking order under Howe and will be allowed to leave. Almiron’s time at Newcastle has been disappointing and Howe has hardly used him since becoming Newcastle manager. He joined Newcastle for £21m and has two years left in his contract. The simplest way to state it is that Howe doesn’t rate him and doesn’t think he can fit in with the way he’s heading.

Tottenham keen to sign goalkeeper Johnstone

Tottenham have reignited their interest to sign the former Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone. The West Brom goalkeeper is also attracting interest from West Ham and Newcastle but Tottenham are back in the hunt for Johnstone as they want quality competition for Hugo Lloris. Johnstone has made 33 league appearances in the Championship this season. He impressed with West Brom in the Premier League last term. Spurs were also interested to sign him in January but prioritised other areas. Johnstone is hoping to be part of Gareth Southgate’s squad for the World Cup, he has already made three appearances for England.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic scores with his chest against Lorient in 2013

Back in 2013, Paris Saint-Germain defeated Lorient 3-1 in Ligue 1. Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored the first parisian goal with his chest.

Schlotterbeck backed to join Newcastle

Freiburg director hints the club can’t stop Nico Schlotterbeck from leaving when the season ends in May. The towering centre-back has been strongly linked with a move to Tyneside as Eddie Howe looks determined to bring a defender when transfer window opens. The 22-year-old is having a strong season for Breisgau Brazilians, helping the team reaching Europa League places in the standings as his performances have caught the eye of many European clubs who are interested in his services. Schlotterbeck is viewed as a strong candidate to make the World Cup squad for German national team as recently he got his first call-up under Hansi Flick.

Conte could replace Pochettino at PSG

PSG looks determined to part ways with Pochettino after another underwhelming campaign which saw the French outfit eliminated in Champions League by Real Madrid. There will be a transfer market where we will see coaches like Conte go to PSG. PSG must make quality leaps in Europe and Conte has done badly in the cups. He has always taken teams from the rubble. When Conte arrived at Inter, he made a final in the Europa League and won the Scudetto. Tottenham are desperate to keep hold of Conte as he is seen as key figure to stop Harry Kane from leaving the club. The club hierarchy believe Conte is the right man to bring trophies and compete in European competitions.

West Ham to target Nunez again

After allowing Sebastien Haller to join Ajax last year and failing to bring in a replacement, the Hammers’ striking options are now down to the bare bones with Michail Antonio left to lead the side’s line week in, week out. However, despite failing in a late attempt to sign Benfica forward Darwin Nunez during this year’s January transfer window, according to recent reports in Portugal, manager David Moyes has not been put off and will try again in the summer. Expected to be allowed to leave the Estadio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica Stadium if an offer of £50m is made, this summer could see the Hammers throw everything they have at bringing one of Europe’s most prolific forwards to the country’s capital as Moyes aims to continue the club’s upwards trajectory.
