I’m sure most of you know the game Fortnite, a gaming sensation. There are 3 different game modes, Fortnite Battle Royale, a free-to-play battle royale game in which up to 100 players fight to be the last person standing; Fortnite: Save the World, a cooperative hybrid tower defense-shooter and survival game in which up to four players fight off zombie-like creatures and defend objects with traps and fortifications they can build; and Fortnite Creative, in which players are given complete freedom to create worlds and battle arenas. Today, let’s dive deeper into the tips on how to better play in the battle royale mode.
Pay attention to the circle
One of the most vital Fortnite tips is to keep an eye on the circle, which is always shrinking and ready to kill you. Every strategic decision should be based on your location in relation to the circle.
If you’re in a bad situation and the nearest safe spot is a long way away, getting there is your top priority. If you see another play and you can’t defeat them quickly, move on. Do not engage in a long fight!
Know where to find basic loot
To begin with, the equipment always shows in the same area, indicating that the item locations are consistent. If you walk into a house and notice a weapon in the middle of the living room, it’s a good idea to return to that room every time you’re in the area to check it out. The item that appears may vary, and there may or may not always be something, but the spawn place will remain constant. Similarly, if you’ve visited a location ten times and there’s never been any loot, it’s likely that there will never be any.
Hunt for supply drops
Large blue boxes suspended from yellow balloons are dropped over the map as supply drops. When a supply drop emerges in the air, it will make a sound. Following that, blue smoke will emerge from the earth, revealing the precise place where the package will fall. The closer you are to the sound, the louder it is.
High-quality loot is always included. Epic and legendary weapons are common rewards for those daring enough to seek them out.
Tip: If you’re in a hurry, you can shoot the balloon till it explodes and drops. The balloon has 1250 HP, so make sure you have enough ammunition before you go.
That said, don’t loot from enemies bodies immediately
It is truly tempting and rewarding to dash up to the dead body to reap your rewards. However, avoid doing so immediately. Firefights draw a lot of attention, and could have drawn the notice of other players nearby. When looting, you’re most susceptible because you’re giving your opponent an easy, static target to shoot. Resist the desire to loot immediately, and check your surroundings first.
Additionally, while looting, build a wall around yourself to protect yourself as you swap out gear. This is especially true when healing or using shield potions: you never know who was watching you and preparing to strike.
Try to land on the roof
While looting, make sure you start at the top of the buildings. On the roofs of some buildings, you’ll discover weapons, and if you land on a house, you’ll almost always find chests concealed there. As a result, always land on the roof and use your pickaxe as needed.
After that, you can progress to the next level and loot till you reach the ground floor. You can still go to the roof by creating a ramp and then breaking your way down if you loot future buildings. It will be audible if you are close to a chest, so always listen. The more chests you find the better, and they will always be in the rooms of the buildings.
Overall, here are our top 5 tips. If you realized, most of the tips revolve around looting. This is because finding the right equipment to battle it out with your enemy is crucial in winning the battle royale.
