Talking Cock Session: Hot Transfer Rumours That Could Light Up the English Premier League

In our weekly talk cock sessions, we look at the latest transfer news, gossips, and highlights that have football fans all over the world buzzing with excitement.

Tottenham & Chelsea in the race to sign Ivan Perisic

Perisic has spent a large percentage of his time as a winger, especially during the early years of his career, but has recently converted into more of a wing-back. The Croatian international is set to leave Inter Milan this summer, due to his contract expiring. Perisic had recently agreed a deal with Chelsea, but Tottenham are ready to rival Chelsea in their pursuit of the Inter Milan star. With Antonio Conte and Thomas Tuchel both utilising a wing-back system, Perisic could be the ideal signing. Although usually used on the left-hand side, Perisic is right-footed, so his versatility could make him a useful squad addition for both sides.

Lyon targeting Eric Bailly

Manchester United are set for a clearout at the club, as they look to reset after a disappointing season in the Premier League. One of the casualties looks set to be Eric Bailly, as Fabrizio Romano has confirmed Manchester United will be willing to sell the Ivorian defender. The news of Bailly being available seems to have triggered the interest of Lyon, and the French club could make a move for him this summer. Bailly has struggled for game time this season, especially with the arrival of Raphael Varane. Even before the French international signing, Bailly still had to battle with Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof for a place in the starting eleven, so it was always going to be difficult to cement a place in the team.

William Saliba wants to leave Arsenal

Arsenal defender William Saliba has told his current loan club Marseille that he wants to sign a permanent deal in France. Saliba has spent the current season on loan at Marseille, where his performances have earnt him the young player of the season award. The French defender has also recently been called up to his countries senior squad, so Arsenal could be looking to keep hold of the 21-year-old. However, Saliba has sent a message to Marseille expressing his desire to stay in France, rather than return to Arsenal following the end of his loan deal.

Arteta responds to Xhaka’s comments

Check out Mikel Arteta’s pre match press conference ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League clash with Everton. After the Newcastle loss Granit Xhaka had some choice words for his teammates, and Mikel Arteta gives his take on those comments during the press conference.

West Ham interested in Moise Kean

West Ham are showing an interest in Everton forward Moise Kean, who is currently on loan at Juventus. Kean is in the middle of a two-year loan deal at Juventus, with the Italian club obliged to purchase him at the end of next season. However, Kean has struggled at times for Juventus, just like he did at Everton, but the Italian striker is still young and has his best years ahead of him. West Ham are interested in signing Kean, as they look to improve their forward line. Michail Antonio is David Moyes’ only recognised striker at the club, and he’s approaching the final years of his career.

Dan-Axel Zagadou will be leaving Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund have confirmed that Dan-Axel Zagadou will be leaving the club at the end of the season as his contract expires with the Bundesliga side. This is according to BuliNews, who state that the defender will now be available for free, which opens the door for Premier League duo West Ham United and Newcastle to make a move. L’Equipe reported a couple of months ago that both West Ham and Newcastle are interested in the 22-year-old and it is likely that they’ll battle it out for his signature this summer.

Everton want to sign Conor Gallagher

Frank Lampard is set to use his Chelsea connections to attempt to sign Conor Gallagher this summer. Gallagher has spent the season on loan at Crystal Palace, and the English midfielder took the league by storm in the early stages of this campaign. The 22-year-old has faded out towards the end of the season, but that hasn’t deterred Lampard, who could look to bring him to Goodison Park. Lampard believes he can use his Chelsea connections to persuade Gallagher to join him at Everton. After The Toffees successfully stayed in the Premier League on Thursday night, attention has now turned to improving the squad for next season.
