Man City targeting Kalvin Phillips

Manchester City are said to be ready to make a juicy bid to improve their midfield this summer. The Citizens have already landed one bargain, snatching Erling Haaland away from Borussia Dortmund for less than £60million. And according to the latest reports, they are now ready to secure their second signing of the summer. City are willing to splash out £60million to land Leeds United star Kalvin Phillips. Phillips is said to be a target of Liverpool’s, while Manchester United have also been linked previously. But it seems as though it is Liverpool who will make the first bold move for the England star. Its claimed Phillips will have a new agent this summer after allowing his contract with his current agency to expire.

Fiorentina in advanced talks to sign Florian Grillitsch

Arsenal are set for a busy summer, with regular injuries interrupting their season, they may need reinforcements with European football on the way. Despite missing out on the Champions League, Arsenal will still be competing and Europe. The hectic schedule that comes with playing in an extra competition means Mikel Arteta will need to increase his squad depth. One man Arsenal have been linked with is Florian Grillitsch, who is set to leave Hoffenheim due to his contract expiring, according to Todo Fichajes. The Austrian midfielder could have added much-needed quality in midfield, especially due to Thomas Partey’s injury record. However, Fabrizio Romano has now confirmed Fiorentina are in advanced talks to sign Grillitsch, with an offer until 2026 on the table.

Destiny Udogie is on Tottenham watchlist

Tottenham have already completed the signing of Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan, but Antonio Conte won’t be stopping there. Despite having a successful season, qualifying for the Champions League, Conte is a born winner, and he won’t be settling for finishing fourth. The Italian will be pushing to compete with the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City for the Premier League title, and will be desperate to bring a trophy to North London. After the signing of Perisic, Tottenham are considering making a move for another Serie A talent, Destiny Udogie is on their watchlist. Udogie often operates on the left side of midfield, but has been utilised as a wing-back, so would suit Conte’s system at Tottenham. With the signing of Perisic, his experience would be hugely beneficial to Udogie, who could learn from the Croatian.

Arsenal and Manchester United battling for Leandro Trossard

Arsenal and Manchester United are set to battle it out for Brighton attacker Leandro Trossard. Versatility is an attractive trait in a player in the modern game, and Trossard is exactly that. The Belgian attacker has played all across the front three during his time at Brighton, as well as left wing-back. His performances for Brighton over the last few years have been pivotal to their success, and the 27-year-old is attracting interest from Premier League clubs. Manchester United have been showing an interest in Trossard, and now Arsenal have entered the race.

Arsenal linked with Alvaro Morata

Arsenal are in the market for a striker this summer, with Alexandre Lacazette leaving the club on a free transfer. This leaves Arsenal with just Eddie Nketiah as a recognised first-team striker, so there’s no doubt Mikel Arteta will be desperate for attacking reinforcements. One man Arsenal have been linked with is Alvaro Morata, according to GOAL. However, the report also states that the Spanish striker will not be moving to the Premier League, with Newcastle also interested. It appears Morata will be joining Juventus, where he spent last season on loan, or returning to Atletico Madrid. The 29-year-old didn’t enjoy a successful spell in England when playing for Chelsea, so Arsenal may be better off exploring other options anyway.

Chelsea eyeing Konrad Laimer

Chelsea could be in the market for a midfielder this summer, with N’Golo Kante and Jorginho not getting any younger. The Chelsea duo are both into their thirties, so Thomas Tuchel could be in the hunt for a younger midfielder this summer. Jorginho and Kante are both also out of contract next year, so their future at the club is far from certain. One man Chelsea have taken a look at recently is 25-year-old Konrad Laimer. The Leipzig midfielder is also out of contract this summer, and the German club could be forced to sell the Austrian this summer to avoid losing him on a free. Chelsea are interested in Declan Rice and Ibrahim Sangare, so it would be no surprise to see a new midfielder playing at Stamford Bridge next season.
