The highly awaited fourth instalment of the action-RPG series that helped define its genre, Diablo IV, will launch in 2023, according to Blizzard Entertainment. Additionally, Diablo IV will be released for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 with cross-play and cross-progression available on all platforms.
The iconic Necromancer, the fifth playable character class, returns with newly created undead mechanics, joining the Barbarian, Sorceress, Rogue, and Druid classes in the fight to save humanity. Players will be able to use the Necromancer’s Book of the Dead, a brand-new feature that gives them greater control over the customisation of their undead army than ever before, to rule the battlefield.
The Sanctuary area in Diablo IV is enormous and full of opportunities for exploration. After many years have gone since the events of Diablo III: Reaper of Souls, Lilith, the Daughter of Hatred, is adamant about retaking control of Sanctuary. Players can let their curiosity lead them to play the game anyway they like because character customization options are more broad and varied than ever.
