With a new competitive multiplayer experience, heroes, maps, and more with a new, free-to-play system, Overwatch 2’s release will be the franchise’s most significant since its start.
Overwatch 2’s PvP experience is created to offer incredible and innovative competitive gameplay with a new, free-to-play model and significant game updates like new heroes, hero reworks, maps, modes, and premium cosmetics. It also features a new five-versus-five multiplayer format with cross-platform play and cross-platform progression.
The brutal Australian-born ruler of Junkertown, the Junker Queen, is the newest tank hero to join the roster, and gamers will have the chance to acquire her at launch. The Junker Queen is the second brand-new character to be unveiled for Overwatch 2, making her the 34th character overall in the genre. At launch, new and well-known overseas locations will also be included in the game, including bustling Midtown Manhattan and Toronto’s icy New Queen Street. Additionally, Push is a new game mode in Overwatch 2 that pits teams against one another to control and move a central robot farther into enemy territory than their rivals.
