Everton are set to make moves for Conor Coady and Armando Broja
Everton are set to make moves for Wolves star Conor Coady and Chelsea prodigy Armando Broja in the coming week ahead of a gruelling Premier League season, with the pair reportedly keen on a move to Goodison Park under Frank Lampard. Of course, if the west London outfit were to land Kalajdzic ahead of their rivals, it would push Broja further down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge. After a decent breakout season last year at Southampton in which Broja scored six Premier League goals, it was expected that he would somewhat feature in the first-team thanks to Romelu Lukaku’s mishaps on his return to the Blues. But with Raheem Sterling, Kai Havertz and Timo Werner all ahead of Broja in the race to lead the line, and with targets such as Kalajdzic, Cristiano Ronaldo and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang being linked with a move to Thomas Tuchel’s side, it appears Broja may have to wait another season to feature at the club he joined aged just eight.
Wolves bid for Goncalo Guedes accepted
Wolves have had a bid accepted for Valencia’s Portuguese star Goncalo Guedes as Bruno Lage looks to ramp up his squad depth ahead of a gruelling season. The side from the Black Country will pay a fee of around £25.3m upfront for his services, with an extra £5m in add-ons should he reach the clauses set out in his contract. Guedes, who burst onto the scene at Benfica aged just 17, starred at the Estadio Da Luz by contributing to three consecutive Primeira Liga titles, alongside two League Cup and one Taca de Portugal title. His exploits earned him a move to PSG in January 2017 for £25m after reportedly beating Manchester United to his signature, as per Eurosport. However, despite failing to break through to the first team at the Parc des Princes, Guedes was shifted to Valencia for £32m after his initial loan spell at the Mestalla went swimmingly.
Manchester United, Chelsea and Everton chasing Sasa Kalajdzic
Manchester United could be rivalled by Chelsea and Everton in the hunt for a striker with all three sides desperate for firepower this summer – after reports linked them with a £15m bid for Stuttgart talisman Sasa Kalajdzic. The Austrian, who stands at a giant 6ft 7in, has been superb for Stuttgart since his move from Admira Wacker at the age of 22 back in 2019. Having signed a four-year contract at the Mercedez-Benz Arena outfit, he has shone in Baden-Wurttemberg with 23 Bundesliga goals in just 54 league games, including a 16-goal haul back in the COVID-19 laden 2020-21 season. Of course, his talents have not gone unnoticed across Europe with the star likely to move on for pastures new in the not-so-distant future. The English trio alongside German giants Bayern Munich are tracking a move for the Austrian international and could be set to test Stuttgart’s resolve with a £15m bid.

Manchester City could rival Arsenal for Lucas Paqueta
Manchester City could be one to watch in the Lucas Paqueta transfer saga this summer, if they end up selling Bernardo Silva this summer. The Brazil international has impressed in Ligue 1 and looks like he could make a great fit for a number of top clubs around Europe. It seems, however, that the player himself is focusing on moving to the Premier League, and City could look at him if they need to sign a replacement for Silva. Lyon want around €60-65m for the Brazilian. There are no official negotiations yet but the player would strongly like the chance to play in England. That’s why the situation is to be monitored until the end. Mikel Arteta could do with another attacking midfield player in his ranks, but one imagines he might struggle to persuade Paqueta to join if there’s also interest from City, who would be able to offer Champions League football and a more realistic shot at winning major trophies.
Callum Hudson-Odoi wants to leave Chelsea
Chelsea starlet Callum Hudson-Odoi has reportedly asked to leave the club for regular playing time with minutes on the pitch becoming an issue at Stamford Bridge. Hudson-Odoi, who was born in London, has been at Chelsea’s academy for 15 years after joining at the age of seven. He made his first-team debut came at the age of just 18, where his dazzling pace and trickery wowed the Blues faithful as yet another superb talent from Cobham looked set to make his mark on the club. A bright future for the youngster seemed inevitable after making his England debut in March 2019, but an injury suffered just over a month later hampered any chance of him progressing and kept him on the sidelines.
Barcelona close to signing Marcos Alonso
Barcelona are nearing the end of their move for the talented wing-back, with Barcelona said to be ‘really close’ with just final details needing to be ironed out. Talks to sign the Chelsea star have been rumbling throughout the summer, and it seems both parties have finally reached an agreement for the Spanish Veteran. With the Blues having just signed Marc Cuccurella from Brighton and Hove Albion, it appears his replacement has already arrived. Thomas Tuchel still has plenty of options at left-back, too, with Ben Chilwell, Emerson and newly signed Cucurella all capable of playing in the position. The veteran has won five major trophies during his six-year career with the Blues, where he has played in over 200 games.
