Tips and Tricks | Overwatch 2: New Maps (Part 2)

While certain maps can be found in different forms in each game mode, some are exclusive to that mode. There are 27 different maps available to play in the Quick Play and Competitive Play game modes, including Push, Control, Escort, and Hybrid. In the game styles of Capture the Flag, Deathmatch, Elimination, or Team Deathmatch, many of these similar maps can be found with a little alteration. Other maps, like Malevento, have a single game mode in which they can be played.

In Overwatch 2, all of the maps that were featured in the original Overwatch have received improved visuals, especially with regard to new lightning and map materials. Circuit Royal, Midtown, Paraiso, Colosseo, Esperanca, New Queen Street are the new maps released.

1) Circuit Royal

You might wish to take up a position as the defending team close to the opposing spawn area when the game first begins. But you’ll need to retreat right away if you can’t keep the opposing squad at bay. It will be possible for you to quickly take the high ground above the cafe that is on the payload’s route if you choose heroes with high mobility or vertical mobility.

2) Midtown

Take full use of the payload’s height by situating yourself around it on the defensive team.
Shield heroes and other heroes with “zoning” skills will have a significant edge in Midtown because there are so many easy-to-block routes there.

3) Paraiso

You will be at an advantage in Paraiso if you choose a flying hero like Pharah or Echo, or any hero with vertical mobility like Hanzo, Genji, or even Widowmaker. Being able to take high ground when you are able is crucial since the confined space can make it tough to have a good perspective of the adversary.

4) Colosseo

Consider reserving the majority of your team’s Ultimates after your team captures the Robot so you can overwhelm the opposition just before you capture the first checkpoint. A better spawn room is made available to your team so they can retest the Robot after securing this checkpoint.

5) Esperanca

The Robot’s path of travel is not the shortest way to challenge it at its first starting point. Instead, go the passageways that are close to each team’s spawn room and down the avenue. Your squad can get off to a great start if you have a Lucio or a Junker Queen on your team to increase mobility speed.

6) New Queen Street

Consider reserving the majority of your team’s Ultimates after your team captures the Robot so you can overwhelm the opposition just before you capture the first checkpoint. A better spawn room is made available to your team so they can retest the Robot after securing this checkpoint.
