Ressence Watches has announced the release of its sixth and latest watch type in the Ressence family collection – the TYPE 8 Sage Green. The new colour addition refines the minimalist design of TYPE 8, providing an optimistic and serene feel to the lightweight all-titanium timepiece. The Sage Green colour perfectly complements the existing TYPE 8 Cobalt Blue.
Benoît Mintiens, the founder of Ressence, explained that TYPE 8 is the purest, most essential of all Ressence experiences. The watch’s dial has been reduced to its most viable minimum to maximize legibility, with only the hours and minutes is displayed. With the introduction of Sage Green to the TYPE 8, colour now plays a part in awakening senses and enhancing the Ressence experience.
The TYPE 8’s deceptively simple aesthetic provides ergonomic comfort, and the watch’s dial has been reduced to its essence. The domed Sage Green dial displays time using simple white baton markers that present perfect clarity from any angle, thanks to the revolutionary Ressence Orbital Convex System (ROCS) display. The hands, hour, and minute scales are picked out in SuperLuminova® for low-light legibility.
The entire dial is ever-changing, with the main dial, a domed piece of titanium, rotating to indicate the minutes. Set within it on the same plane, a smaller dial rotates to mark the hours. The unique ambidextrous design, coupled with the lightweight of the watch, ensures that TYPE 8 provides a comfortable experience on all wrists.
The TYPE 8 Sage Green is powered by a Ressence custom-made, traditional mechanical automatic movement, based on a specially customized and reinforced ETA calibre 2892/2 with a 36-hour power reserve. The watch’s rotating dial is the visible face of Ressence’s patented mechanical ingenuity: the ROCS (Ressence Orbital Convex System).
The Ressence Type 8 S retails for SGD 21,000 with GST, making it the entry-level range of the brand. The Sage Green colour addition refines the minimalist design of TYPE 8, providing an optimistic and serene feel to the lightweight all-titanium timepiece.
