Micky van de Ven has become Tottenham’s latest summer acquisition, joining the club in a reported £43 million deal from Wolfsburg.

He has signed a contract with the Premier League outfit that will keep him at the club until 2029 as Ange Postecoglou continues to strengthen his squad. Later on Tuesday, Tottenham completed the signing of Alejo Veliz from Rosario Central on a six-year contract.

Later on Tuesday, Tottenham confirmed the signing of 19-year-old striker Veliz on a six-year contract. He will wear the number 36 shirt.

Postecoglou, who is also a newcomer to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, has been working diligently to improve his squad, with the north London side having already acquired James Maddison in a £45m deal from Leicester, Dejan Kulusevski for £25m from Juventus and Manor Solomon on a free transfer from Shakhtar.

Kane Negotiations continue through the night

Bayern Munich and Tottenham engaged in ongoing discussions throughout the night concerning England’s captain.

Kane, who has just one year remaining on his contract, is seeking clarity about his future before the commencement of the Premier League season this upcoming weekend.

In recent days, Kane has shown a leaning towards remaining with Spurs for this season, following an ultimatum from the German champions that ruffled Daniel Levy’s feathers when they presented their ‘final’ close to €120 million offer last weekend.

Although Kane has expressed his satisfaction working under Ange Postecoglou, he would be confronted with a pivotal decision should both clubs reach an agreement on a transfer fee.

Bayern is under the impression that Kane desires to join them and is presently resorting to urgent measures to rescue the situation. However, Kane’s loyalty would remain with Spurs if he were still with the club beyond the transfer deadline.

The fact that negotiations persisted between key figures from both clubs late on Tuesday and extended into Wednesday morning hints at the continued possibility of a deal materializing.

It’s likely that Bayern Munich will present a new bid, like a ballpark figure of close to £100 million, even though Spurs appraise the 30-year-old’s value at over £100 million.

With Kane’s contract expiring next summer, there’s a risk for Spurs in retaining him beyond the current transfer window, potentially resulting in the loss of an exceptional goal scorer to a Premier League competitor without a transfer fee.
