Ten Hag is now due to speak face-to-face with Sancho for the first time since the public outburst that infuriated the United manager and cast fresh doubt over the player’s long-term future at the club.

Sancho has deleted comments made in response to Erik Ten Hag this morning.

Sancho’s decision to delete his Twitter post is being viewed as a positive by Manchester United.

It’s a sign the player wants a positive outcome.

Barcelona’s financial troubles look set to continue which could hurt Joan Laporta

Barcelona continue to struggle to balance the books and that could hit President Joan Laporta hard.

Barcelona’s financial turmoil took a new twist this week with president Joan Laporta liable for a €20 million guarantee following the failure of an investor to provide the funds to complete a financial deal that was vital to the club being granted its licence to compete in La Liga this season.

Barcelona have been trying to sell off assets to boost their revenue and thus increase their permitted wage bill under La Liga regulations. Last summer the club sold €700 million worth of future income streams and were able to sign the players who won the league title.

There is a chance Jesse Lingard could join West Ham

West Ham boss David Moyes opened up on the possibility of Jesse Lingard returning to the London Stadium, with the former Manchester United midfielder currently a free agent.

Lingard has spent the last three weeks training with West Ham United, leading to speculation that he may be in line for a new deal.

Arsenal are plotting a January move for a Sporting defender

Arsenal have revived their interest in Sporting defender Ousmane Diomande and will look to sign the teenager in January.

Arsenal are rumoured to have submitted a £30m bid for his signature in the summer but it was swiftly rejected That rejection hasn’t deterred Arteta from coming back in for Diomande, who is highly thought of by several European football’s biggest clubs.

All three of Juventus, Monaco and Manchester United have been linked with a move for the young centre-back. Surprisingly, Diomande only 13 made Primeira Liga appearances last season but has made quite the impression in that time.

Manchester United confirms front-of-shirt sponsorship

Manchester United confirmed Snapdragon as their new front-of-shirt sponsor for 24/25.

Snapdragon is a brand of Qualcomm Technologies.

US technology company Qualcomm is Man United’s new front-of-shirt sponsor in a total deal worth £60m per year.

Snapdragon will feature on the home, away and third kits of the men’s and women’s teams.
