777 Partners’ takeover of Everton has been agreed after Toffees owner Farhad Moshiri agreed to sell his 94% majority stake in the Premier League club

Everton owner Farhad Moshiri has agreed to sell his majority stake to 777 Partners, the Premier League club announced on Friday.
The American investment fund has acquired Moshiri’s full 94.1% stake and the deal is expected to be completed before the end of the year, subject to approval from the Premier League, the FA and the Financial Conduct Authority.
Everton became the eighth club to join the 777 Football Group, which also includes Genoa, Hertha Berlin, Sevilla, Vasco de Gama, Standard Liege, Red Star FC and Melbourne Victory.
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag will get the opportunity to scout Brighton’s teenage striker Evan Ferguson

Erik ten Hag should get the opportunity to personally run the rule over Evan Ferguson this weekend, with the Brighton striker expected to be fit to face Manchester United.
United have been watching Ferguson and monitoring his progress but the same could be said of dozens of players.
They are already working two windows ahead, which is pretty commonplace across the rest of the Premier League.
For each position, they ideally have three or more players on a list which they scout and regularly update.
Ferguson spent time trialling with Manchester United as a youngster but still ended up signing for Brighton. The Red Devils would now have to pay a premium price to bring Ferguson to the club, with former academy director Nick Cox recently admitting that missing out on the youngster was a “£50m-plus mistake.
Manchester United spent £72m to bring striker Rasmus Hojlund to Old Trafford from Atalanta, but Ferguson is still of interest as Ten Hag would like to bring another No. 9 to the club in the future.
