Manchester United’s proposed takeover may be dragging on but there is still a chance of a sale being agreed by the Glazer family

Despite almost a year passing to kick off the process of selling Manchester United, both Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani remain in contention.
The protracted Manchester United takeover process overseen by the Glazer family has not put off the two leading bidders.
The Glazers announced on November 22 that they were beginning a process to “explore strategic alternatives” for United. It has now been 302 days since that announcement and, despite several deadlines, the club appears no closer to being sold.
Ratcliffe, who was born in Failsworth, Greater Manchester, is bidding to buy the Glazers’ stake in the club. The 70-year-old already has experience in football through his ownership of French side Nice and also invested in sailing and motorsport.
Sheikh Jassim, meanwhile, wants to purchase 100 per cent of the club, complete a full takeover from the Glazer family and “return the club to its former glories both on and off the pitch”. Moises Caicedo’s agent makes an interesting Liverpool admission after choosing Chelsea over the Reds

The agent of Chelsea star Moises Caicedo played a big role in helping his client move from Brighton to the Blues this summer but he has now made an interesting comment about a move to Liverpool as the Reds were the other club fighting for the Ecuadorian’s signature.
Caicedo’s agent has admitted that a summer move to Liverpool would have been the “more stable” choice than the transfer he made to Chelsea.
Liverpool made a lot of changes to their midfield this summer with four stars arriving at Anfield as part of the overhaul. This has led to Jurgen Klopp’s side becoming one of the best teams in the country again and the Reds should be challenging for the title over the coming months.
As for Chelsea, European football of some sort would be considered a success at this rate, and with how unstable the club is at present, there is no guarantee of improvement next season.
