In our latest update talk cock sessions, we look at the latest club news, Kieran Trippier, Callum Wilson, Bruno Guimaraes, Karim Benzema, Emerson Royal, and Morgan Rogers, gossip, and highlights that have football fans from over the world buzzing with excitement.

Newcastle United will attempt to hold onto both Callum Wilson and Kieran Trippier despite interest from Europe in both players

Newcastle United have no interest in selling either Kieran Trippier or Callum Wilson this January.

Trippier in particular is a wanted man, with Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid both interested in the defender.

Newcastle United have decided neither Kieran Trippier nor Callum Wilson are for sale and will block any attempt to lure them away this month.

In a frantic 48 hours on Tyneside, Newcastle have fought to keep both of their England internationals after Bayern Munich made a bid for Trippier and news of an enquiry from Atletico Madrid earlier this month was also leaked.

Trippier’s future was the main concern for the Newcastle hierarchy, with Bayern making a very public move to unsettle the right back.

The 33-year-old was thought to have been tempted by the idea of joining England team-mates Harry Kane and Eric Dier in Munich but returned to Tyneside over the weekend for talks with the club.

Manchester United will not attempt to sign Karim Benzema in January but are after a striker of Harry Kane’s level

Manchester United have opted against trying to sign Karim Benzema from Al-Ittihad in the January transfer window.

United are looking for reinforcements up front after a difficult season so far in front of goal, having scored half as many Premier League goals (24) as Manchester City (48).

In total, only three teams have scored fewer goals (Crystal Palace 22, Burnley 21, Sheffield United 15), but they will not seed out former Real Madrid striker Benzema due to his age and wage demands.

Benzema only joined Saudi Pro-League side Al-Ittihad six months ago, after bringing to an end his glittering 14-year spell at Real. But the former France striker has fallen out with manager Marcelo Gallardo after he failed to report for the team’s pre-season training camp.

Benzema, who scored 12 goals in 20 appearances for Al-Ittihad, is now facing an uncertain future but is understood to be keen on returning to Europe.

Chelsea and Arsenal are also in the market for a striker, but it remains to be seen if either are willing to consider offering Benzema an escape route from Saudi.

Paris Saint-Germain £100M Bruno Guimaraes

Paris Saint-Germain could consider a move for Newcastle United’s Bruno Guimaraes if the Premier League club find they need to sell star players to ease financial concerns and better balance their squad.

Newcastle chief executive Darren Eales last week spoke of the need to comply with the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules that led to Everton and Nottingham Forest being charged on Monday.

As a result, selling players could benefit Newcastle in the long term, and so they may be willing to offload Guimaraes – who has a £100m release clause.

Other players could yet be moved on as they need the financial freedom to obtain targets such as Manchester City’s Kalvin Phillips.

The England midfielder has interest from Crystal Palace and Fulham among others. Juventus, who have considered Jordan Henderson, have gone cool and the opportunity would have been ideal for Newcastle if they can find room for manoeuvre with sales.

Al-Nassr have had a bid rejected for Tottenham defender Emerson Royal

Emerson Royal was the subject of a bid from Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr, the club that employs Cristiano Ronaldo.

A bid of £20 million was turned down for the defender.

Tottenham have rejected a bid from Cristiano Ronaldo’s Saudi side for Emerson Royal.

Al-Nassr made an offer – believed to be in the region of £20 million – for the Brazilian.

They are understood to be weighing up a fresh offer for the versatile defender.

Royal, 25, is believed to be happy in North London.

He is behind Pedro Porro in the pecking order at right-back.

But he has proved himself a player capable of filling in at left-back and centre-back this term when other players have been injured.

Middlesbrough have received yet another offer from Aston Villa for Morgan Rogers

Aston Villa have made a third bid for former Manchester City forward Morgan Rogers.

The Middlesbrough player has impressed with Michael Carrick’s men and only arrived in the summer transfer window.

Aston Villa has made an improved bid for Middlesbrough forward Morgan Rogers after their opening two proposals were rejected by the Championship club.

Manchester City are due a sell-on fee if the 21-year-old, who cost Boro £1 million in the summer, leaves.

Villa has also made an approach for Iceland goalkeeper Hakon Valdimarsson from Swedish top-flight side Elfsborg.

Middlesbrough rejected Villa’s first two proposals, but Unai Emery is a huge fan, and Rogers was impressive while playing against them in the FA Cup at the start of the month.
